Thomas Bewick Sensory Ball

The school are currently planning our Summer Fundraising Ball which takes place on Friday 24th June 2022 at 6pm. Previous events have always proved very popular and have been a fantastic way of helping us to raise money to improve our school and the specialist resources and facilities available to our wonderful pupils.

The event is in aid of the Thomas Bewick School Association of Friends Charity (registered charity no. 1013636). All money raised will be used to buy specialist sensory and occupational therapy equipment and resources for our pupils and to support the enhancement of our sensory and soft play rooms. These specialist resources and facilities are essential and are needed to support the communication, social, emotional regulation and sensory needs of our pupils. For more information on the Thomas Bewick Association of Friends Charity, please see the charity’s page here.

The price of the tickets for the ball are £40 each, which includes a welcome drink, three-course meal (menu listed in the Frequently Asked Questions below), and a donation towards the sensory resources.

To purchase tickets, please fill out the form here. The booking lead will need to fill in their information before making a payment via external bank transfer to the Thomas Bewick School Association of Friends Charity account.

We have a luxury raffle and a bottle tombola we will be drawing on the night of the ball for attendees, with all money raised going to the sensory resources. Luxury raffle tickets will be £5 each and the bottle tombola will be £2 a ticket; both will be cash-only to be purchased on the night of the ball. We have been donated some fantastic prizes, including our top luxury prize of a 3 night stay in the Lake District courtesy of Laser Ex! Our community raffle will be open for all members of the Thomas Bewick School community and will be held the week after the ball. Tickets for this will be £1 each. More information and our full list of prizes is in the Frequently Asked Questions below.
