Music

Overview: Thomas Bewick School aims to provide pupils with a broad and balanced music curriculum that develops pupil’s creativity and expressive skills. Our curriculum is suitably adapted and differentiated to meet the wide range of our pupils and we have strived to give our students the opportunity to learn about a wide range of musical styles and genres. Students are taught core musical skills such as the inter-related dimensions of music, performance and composition and they are encouraged to listen to music with increased discrimination. This Music policy is written to cover pupils working in Key Stage 2. Music is covered as part of the Creative Arts curriculum for pupils accessing Key Stage 3 and 4.
