In Class 23 today we had a fantastic history lesson finding out about Leonardo Da Vinci. We learnt about some of the theories he had about body proportions. One theory was that people’s height is the same as the length of their arm span. We tested the theory by measuring and recording our heights using a measuring stick and our arm span using a tape measure. We found that his theory was correct. We took some photos of ourselves looking like his diagram of the Vitruvian Man. Then we cut paper to make paper Helical Screws opying his design. We did a great job of decorating and cutting and we all enjoyed carefully standing on chairs and watching them spiral down to the floor. It was a great afternoon!
